– Successful cooperation between Palfinger Crane Rus and Scania Rus presented at Metal-Expo
– M100Z77. The special solution for recycling industry

In July 2012, a project to build a demo-truck based on Scania P420 CB6h4EHZ chassis with PALFINGER EPSILON M100Z77 crane has been successfully completed and was presented at Metal-Expo fair in November. Shortly before the show, the truck has been sold to one of the largest steel companies in Russia.

The successful truck for scrap industry is able to fulfill customers’ needs:

– A powerful and reliable chassis with high load capacity, comfortable cabin with wide viewing area as well as good maneuverability. All of these characteristics make the transportation process comfortable regardless of the environment (city or off-road).

– The dumper body is made of durable and
wear-resistant steel for easy and fast unloading.

– The crane convinces by its high lifting capacity at maximum outreach as well as the ability to collect scrap from the most remote places.

The symbiosis of the reliability and durability of PALFINGER EPSILON crane, safeness and comfortable of Scania chassis and th heavy-duty body makes this type of scrap truck ideal for loading and unloading of scrap and its transportation to the place of recycling.

For several years Palfinger Crane Rus company in cooperation with Scania Rus and body building company Shturman Kredo+ successfully work to create vehicles for enterprises of the scrap industry.

The first cooperative truck was presented at last year’s Metal-Expo with a scrap truck based on SCANIA P420 chassis equipped with PALFINGER EPSILON M100Z77 crane. A dumper body with the capacity of 17,700 kg, steers and hinged doors is ideal for transporting bulky loads and allows fast and easy unloading. Due to high strength and wear resistance of Hardox steel, the body has reduced weight and increased volume up to 29 m3.

The scrap truck is suitable at best for collecting scrap by using EPSILON M100Z77 crane equipped with asymmetrical polyp grab with a volume of 300 liters. This crane is able to lift 1,290 kg at an outreach of 7.7 m. The low dead weight significantly increases maximum permissive payload. Front-end technologies used in crane design such as EPSCOPE, EPSLINK, KTL, bronze bushes with grease channels, powder coating etc. ensure the reliability and durability of the crane, even in the hardest conditions.

One of these trucks with M100Z77 now operates in the Krasnoyarsk region. Oplavsky Mikhail Petrovich, engineer and owner: “It is a very convenient crane, perfect maneuvering capabilities, good for
handling in hard to reach places, all in all a very comfortable solution.”
